What Is Influenster??

You'll notice at the top of my right hand sidebar there is a badge with the word Influenster and a number on it (currently, an 80).  What is that??

Influenster.com is a website where you can sign up to basically get a box of free stuff sent to you about once a quarter.  It's usually always new or newish product and it's always the most deliciously random grouping of products you'll receive. (my last box included a teeth whitening system by Colgate, Witch Hazel wipes, artifical sweetner, spray on lotion and a breakfast bar) Everything is full sized, no messing around with "sample" sized products.

Why is it free?  Companies need to do a tremendous amount of market research before releasing a new product on the general public.  They also like to do periodic market research to ensure that the product is still thought of as a good, desirable product for the market and if it isn't, what can they do to make it better?  This is where the Influensters come in.  We get a box of free stuff, then we spend a few weeks using the products, playing with them, etc.  After all that, you fill out a survey about each product AND they ask you to share your opinion, usually on the company's Facebook or Twitter page.

It's simple.  The stuff is free to keep forever.  The companies get good, honest feedback about their product.  Everyone wins.  :)

This Is Me, Starting A New Blog, Again

Hey people!  I decided to begin blogging again after a loooooooooonnnnnnnnnng hiatus.  There will be nothing too serious or dramatic here.  This is a place for me to post dumb stuff, silly stuff, product reviews for stuff I get sent to me for free, pictures of my finger nails and my unhealthy obsession with nail polish AND I will likely overwhelm you with pictures of my (poor quality) crochet projects as I attempt to learn to crochet.
